Never Before
Never before the full moon shone so lively As this morn in the cold night. Still the fear to lose clamps itself Onto my heart and upper-arms That cannot hold what is not given. Deep from within my heart still shines A new light of knowing: My will and strength hold it not. „What God has given to us, no man can take away.” I see and scent the blossom without plucking. How do You reach so quietly into my core? How did You see what covers the light? If not for love. I still don't move, dare almost not to breath, Not to chase away what is the miracle to me. It is, and it is still not over ... I take my hands off and look Upon the miracle, That births itself with each new day. You come to stand with me and say to me: „Come, behold with me”. And I truly don't know what I ever liked more! The crystal pearls from my eyes I offer You on my cheeks, As thank.
